Bonaire

Wow, Bonaire is a slice of heaven for windsurfers, snorkeling and divers. This is an island that can still offer an uncultured, unspoiled adventure. The windsurfing has all levels but the shallow waters seem to attract everyone.
Unlike Aruba the wind was on shore and very steady, typically 20-24mph.
We were fortunate to meet a local champion, Tonky Frans. The three brothers: Tonky, Taty, and Choco are talented windsurfers, bringing home multitudes of medals. The trio paved the way as windsurf ambassadors for Bonaire, and Taty is a team rider for Maui Sails.
Entertainment could be found in the large hotels, however the downtown harbor area is filled with live music, restaurants and local entertainment.
