Ain't Misbehavin'

    I got a kick out of the NWS [National Weather Service] forecast notes thismorning which read as follows:
      230 AM PST SUN MAR 21 2004
      MARINE LAYER MISBEHAVED YDY[yesterday]
    As far as I and about 20 other sailors are concerned--the marine layer BEHAVED perfectly: Cold and cloudy at the beach; 80 plus in the San Gabriel Valley.
    As a result, Cabrillo F**king Went Off! The pager said 21 plus average for nearly two hours---but look at the gust line--30 straight across. Without a doubt the windiest, steadiest day so far this year.
    And today? Looks awful gloomy...but I'm not taking the 8'8" race board out of the car yet....
